Seamaster Aqua Terra “Captain's Watch”

To celebrate this year's Ryder Cup, OMEGA has created the Seamaster Aqua Terra “Captain's Watch”. The special edition timepiece will be worn by American Ryder Cup team captain Davis Love III, and combines outstanding reliability and superb performance – qualities every leader possesses.

Davis Love III has a seasoned history and successful playing record that distinguishes him as a high-profile golfer. After receiving his PGA TOUR card in 1985 on his first attempt, he has gone on to win 34 professional golf titles, including 20 PGA TOUR events. As a 6-time participant in the Ryder Cup, it seems only fitting that he will lead Team USA in the 2012 Ryder Cup.

The OMEGA Seamaster Aqua Terra “Captain’s Watch” features a 41.50 mm brushed and polished stainless steel case with a polished bezel. Its screw-in caseback has a sapphire crystal that allows a clear view of the watch’smovement.

The silver dial has the vertical “teak-pattern” lines that characterize the watches in the Aqua Terra collection. Brushed and polished 18 Ct white gold indexes mark eleven of the hours; there is a date window at 3 o’clock.

Powering the “Captain’s Watch” is OMEGA’s exclusive Co-Axial caliber 8500 with an Si14 silicon balance spring. This technology is so reliable the watch is delivered with a four-year warranty.

The “Captain’s Watch” has distinctive red, blue and yellow features, including hour and minute hands coated with Super-LumiNova, making
them legible in all lighting conditions. These colors against the silver background of the dial are inspired by the logo of the Ryder Cup, where Davis Love III will boldly captain Team USA.

“The distinctive red, blue and yellow features of the “Captain’s Watch” were inspired by the 2012 Ryder Cup logo.”

The stainless steel screw-and-pin bracelet has brushed outer links and polished center links. The OMEGA Seamaster Aqua Terra “Captain’s Watch” is water resistant to 15 bar (150 meters / 500 feet).
