Omega presents Cindy Crawford in Korea

Back

Cindy's visit to Korea comprised a short press conference at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, Seoul, where she appeared with Mr Stephen Urquhart, President of Omega International and Mr Lee, Byunghun, who was announced as the new local Omega ambassador for Korea.

Afterwards, she took time out to visit Young-Rak Borinwon orphanage, meeting with its director and joining in with the children's art class. The children also helped to make Omega candy bags, which were distributed as gifts to the guests at the evening's gala dinner. To commemorate Cindy's visit to Korea, Omega Korea also donated a minibus to the orphanage.

Later on in the day, Cindy visited the Shinsegae Dept. Store, where she signed her advertising poster and left her handprint. Many people turned up to see Cindy as she was greeted by all the directors of the department store. Cindy also congratulated the lucky winners of the competition Omega Korea had organized to meet her. These winners now have an unforgettable souvenir of their prize - individual photos with the supermodel herself!

The culmination of Cindy's visit was a gala dinner at the Grand Hyatt hotel with a fashion show featuring 13 top models. Upon their arrival, Cindy and Omega President Stephen Urquhart opened a unique exhibition of behind-the-scenes shots from the photoshoot for the Omega Choices advertising campaign. During the evening, Cindy also presented Omega's first local ambassador for Korea, famous actor Lee Byung-Hun. The fashion show presented all four of the Omega watch collections, with the models wearing a total of 40 different watches from the Omega collection. Cindy later took the stage to talk about her visit to the orphanage and officially welcome Mr Lee as a new Omega ambassador, presenting him with a limited-edition Michael Schumacher Speedmaster watch.
