PGA TOUR Golfer Sergio Garcia visits OMEGA Chadstone Boutique in Melbourne

Back

OMEGA ambassador Sergio Garcia visited the OMEGA Boutique in Chadstone, Melbourne on Monday 15th November for a special event following the JB Were Australian Masters Tournament.

Sergio Garcia, who was given the nickname “El Niño” when he became a professional golfer in 1999, has been an OMEGA ambassador since 2003.  His ambition, pioneering and competitive spirit and his confidence in his abilities reflect OMEGA’s own values and make him an ideal OMEGA ambassador.

Garcia became the youngest player to make the cut in a European Tour tournament and he has spent most of his career ranked among the world’s top ten golfers.   It had been nine years since Garcia last played in Australia and marked a return to the golf course following a two-month break.

Garcia’s visit to the OMEGA Chadstone Boutique coincided with the store’s first anniversary and to celebrate, Garcia signed a life-size canvas of himself as well as OMEGA watches and memorabilia at the store.

OMEGA has played a leading role in helping to establish golf as a truly global sport through its sponsorship of tours and tournaments. To commemorate its connection to the world of golf, OMEGA introduced a unique model to its popular and distinctive Constellation watch line. The OMEGA Constellation Double Eagle blends technical innovation with design excellence in a wristwatch which is at once elegant and sporty.

With the rest of the world golfing community, OMEGA celebrated the announcement that golf will be included in the Rio de Janeiro 2016 Olympic Games.  OMEGA has been the Official Timekeeper of the Olympic Games 24 times since 1932 and looks forward to introducing its friends from the international golfing community to the world’s most prestigious sporting platform.
