Top ranked golfers and OMEGA Ambassadors Rory McIlroy and Sergio Garcia visited with OMEGA at the 2014 PGA Championship on Tuesday in Louisville, Kentucky.

Rory and Sergio joined OMEGA President Stephen Urquhart to tour the OMEGA Exhibition, OMEGA’s brand experience at Valhalla Golf Club, designed to showcase OMEGA’s history as the first watch worn on the moon and its nearly two decade-long history on the wrist of 007 James Bond.

After taking a look at the display of OMEGA timepieces worn by James Bond in every film since 1995’s GoldenEye, Rory and Sergio helped celebrate OMEGA’s pioneering spirit with a ride in the Lunar Rover on display at the OMEGA Exhibition.

The 2014 PGA Championship, held Aug. 4-10, marks the 96th edition of one of the most anticipated golf events on the calendar and the season’s final major.  The greatest golfers in the world – including Rory, Sergio, and their fellow OMEGA Ambassadors Harris English and Seung-Yul Noh – will compete for the Wanamaker Trophy and the title of PGA Champion. OMEGA, an Official Patron of The PGA of America, is serving as Official Timekeeper of the PGA Championship for the fourth straight year.

Rory enters the 2014 PGA Championship as the number one ranked golfer in the world straight off the heels of back-to-back wins at the 2014 Open Championship and at the 2014 WGC-Bridgestone Invitational.   He is also a past PGA Champion, having won the 94th PGA Championship in Kiawah Island, S.C. in 2012.

Sergio will tee off at Valhalla as the No. 3 on the world golf rankings following his impressive second place finishes at the 2014 Travelers Championship, the 2014 Open Championship and at the 2014 WGC-Bridgestone Invitational.   He has been an OMEGA Ambassador since 2003.
