To celebrate the launch of the revolutionary De Ville with Co-Axial Escapement, Omega Australia honoured 10 of its most significant men of their time with a collection of stunning portraits, shot by leading Australian photographer, Grant Matthews.

David Von Gunten from Omega Switzerland travelled to Australia to open the "Omega Men of Their Time" exhibition, held at the stylish W Hotel in Sydney before a crowd of over 100 media, special guests and retailers. The Australian identities featured in the exhibition included writer Bryce Courtenay, director Fred Schepisi, pianist Roger Woodward, artist David Larwill, Rugby Union legend Nick Farr-Jones, actor Aaron Pederson and fashion designer Peter Morrissey.

Prints of the limited edition portraits will be sold to raise money for local charity Youth off the Streets. The charity's founder, Father Chris Riley, was enthusiastic about the association. "Youth off the Streets aims to empower homeless youth and it's encouraging that companies like Omega recognise the importance of the services we provide," Riley says.

Celebrated photographer, Grant Matthews, is renowned for his work with high profile people including Russell Crowe, Greta Scacchi and Brian Ferry. As well as receiving numerous awards, a number of his photographs are permanently housed in the National Gallery in Canberra.

The exhibition will run for one month at the W Hotel in Sydney before moving to Melbourne for another month. More information on the exhibition can be found by visiting www.omegamenoftheirtime.com.au.
