Leading international watch brand Omega, selected four of Australia's top designers to launch the latest jewel in its stunning Constellation collection, the Omega Constellation Carree. The launch was a great success and was applauded by the media, the designers, leading industry figureheads, celebrities and Omega's trade partners. The event celebrated the freshness and creativity of Omega and the Australian designers in an innovative and unique presentation.
Tea Rose, Alex Perry, Easton Pearson and Victoria Loftes each created beautiful garments inspired by, and designed around the stunning diamond-encrusted Constellation Carree collection.
The collection, with its signature square dial sufrounded by diamonds, is available in either a mother-of-pearl or black lacquer dial with diamonds set at the quarter hours. The bracelet comes in either stainless steel, or black or white leather strap. The star of the collection is the millennium masterpiece, a design completely covered with 2000 diamonds (6.596ct) and valued at $100, 000.
Vice President of Product Development at Omega International in Switzerland, Mr Jean-Claude Monachon, attended the event and was enthusiastic about the Australian initiative. "These internationally recognised designers were chosen because of their reputation for using innovativedesign techniques and unique materials, qualities used to create the Constellation Carree collection", said Monachon.
Each designer created a Haute Couture garment not previously seen on the catwalk or in any of their respective ranges. The designers were so inspired by the Constellation Carree collection that they have each included the specially created garments in their Spring/Summer 2000 collections.
These original Constellation Carree creations were recently revealed at a spectacular, celebrity launch event at the Bennelong Restaurant, Sydney Opera House.
Omega hand picked Australia's leading models, including a well known media personality, Karina Brown , to showcase the garments.
