OMEGA’s 2007 Fine Jewellery Collection offers a fascinating new range of contemporary, vanguard jewellery enhancing the existing Aqua, Griffes and Omegamania collections. As is to be expected of one of the world’s foremost watchmakers, this current Fine Jewellery Collection benefits from the expert design vision and impeccable standards of quality and workmanship associated with the company’s 150-year old tradition of excellence. Like the previous collection, the 2007 OMEGA Fine Jewellery Collection is inspired by elements and motifs found in the watch collections. The sensuality of the sea, masterfully captured in the Aqua collection of jewellery, is strongly identified with the Seamaster family of watches; the Griffes collection takes its design cue from the ladies’ Constellation watch range and this year’s handsome Omegamania line for men is clearly inspired by classic Greek motifs and the letter Ω featured on every OMEGA timepiece. The 2007 Fine Jewellery Collection is a seductive combination of modern design aesthetics and timeless OMEGA quality.

AQUA
The Aqua Jewellery Collection presents the new Seahorse and Wave models. The Aqua collection is inspired by motifs from OMEGA’s renowned Seamaster watch collection. This range of watches has been closely linked to the sea and all things maritime for over 50 years. As the name Aqua suggests, the fluid sensuality of the sea and water-inspired shapes are the common theme in this line of jewellery.
The Seahorse line of fine jewellery has taken the classic seahorse figure embossed on the back of the Seamaster watch as inspiration in its novel and bold Seahorse rings, earrings and pendants. The most salient features of the seahorse shape have been reinterpreted in contemporary and highly conceptual design lines giving life to the seahorse’s sinuous and flexible forms.
The characteristic ‘jointed armour’ of the seahorse’s body has been interpreted in this ring in five graduated concave forms that arch gently around the finger. OMEGA’s classic attention to detail is apparent as you run your finger over the wavy, honed ridges or the diamond encrusted curve and appreciate its flawless, smooth surface.
The Seahorse collection has been crafted in highly polished 18-carat yellow, white and red gold and is available with or without a sprinkling of diamonds. The diamond-set version comes to life with the sparkle of 83 pavé diamonds (0.57 carat) that embellish the wide, central sweep of the seahorse’s tail. The simple version makes for an ideal daytime ring with its high design appeal and the pavé version will escort you in style through the night.
The highly original seahorse-shaped pendant that forms part of the Seahorse three-piece contemporary jewellery line has been meticulously crafted in 18-carat white or yellow gold and set to sparkle with a 0.26 carat solitaire bringing the fluid lines of the seahorse to life. Eye-catching but discreet, the matching earrings insinuate the contours of the seahorse as each solitaire (0.26 carat) catches the light.

AQUA - Wave
OMEGA’s Aqua Collection introduces a new line called Wave, a highly sophisticated and vanguard interpretation of the elusive motion of the sea. The Wave line brings a dimension of sculpture and movement to jewellery and captures the undulating essence of the sea and the rolling motion of waves in its overlapping ribbons of gold featured on the ring, pendant and earrings.
The six rippling ribbons of gold that weave a deep band around the finger are available in 18-carat yellow gold, 18-carat white gold and a stunning three-tone combination of yellow, white and red gold. To complement your look, earrings and a matching pendant have been created following the sensual, swirling lines of the ring but slightly smaller in size. The pendant can be worn on a satin cord and tied at the neck or on a more classic 18-carat yellow or white gold chain. Like the ring, the pendant and earrings are presented in 18-carat white gold, in 18-carat yellow gold and in the three-tone variation.

GRIFFES - Affinité
It will come as no surprise that the Constellation should be the muse behind this year’s new line of Griffes jewellery. The characteristic “claws” or “griffes”, designed to clamp the bezel to the case in the Constellation watch range, are the namesake of the collection. OMEGA ambassador Cindy Crawford attests to the beauty, feminine appeal and sophistication of the Constellation watch line that finds a new creative expression in the latest Griffes Affinité collection.
In tune with the current taste for over-sized, eye-catching coloured gemstones, the Affinité line features large, high quality quartz stones in its ring, pendant and earring jewels. Available in three alluring natural colours, these stunning quartz gemstones are showcased in contemporary asymmetric settings that will appeal to the fashion conscious.
The characteristic “griffes” featured on the Constellation watch are used in this jewellery line to secure the quartz stone to the ring, the pendant and earrings. Each claw, delicately resting on the stone, has been beautifully set with 24 diamonds for additional dazzle. Available in pink, lemon or smokey quartz and in a choice of 18-carat white or yellow gold, the rings, pendants and earrings are made with OMEGA’s hallmark attention to detail but with a clearly contemporary twist.

OMEGAMANIA - Omega
This year’s Omega ring for gentlemen follows the design cues of the Omegamania line and its multiple interpretations of the house’s classic Ω logo. Its highly technical nature, composed of two separate and contrasting bands that lock together to form a whole, evokes the precision mechanics behind watchmaking and will appeal to men in search of an accessory to match their timepiece.
The letter Omega, the last letter of the Greek alphabet representing perfection and completion can be traced in the wide band of this stainless steel ring. The 24 letters of the Greek alphabet have been engraved in three rows adding depth and texture to the ring. The two interlocking bands, one brushed and the other polished for greater contrast, snap together to form a wide, masculine band. This ingenious locking system, in keeping with the superior mechanics and technical precision of OMEGA’s timepieces, confers a truly original touch to this ring.
