OMEGA has created three special edition wristwatches to honour the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games. The commemorative timepieces - launched in the year ahead of the sporting spectacle - are inspired by the Olympic spirit and the colours of the flag of the host country.
The gents' watch has a 45.5 mm brushed and polished stainless steel case and a matching bracelet. Its unidirectional rotating diving bezel is fitted with a matt black ceramic ring with a chromium nitride divers’ scale. The white dot at 12 o’clock on the diving bezel is followed by blue- and red-lacquered markers for minutes 1-5 and 6-10, a tribute to the flag of the Russian Federation. True to the Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M design, minutes 11-15 are also indicated on the bezel in a subtle silvery lacquer. The timepiece has a brushed screw-in caseback embossed with the “Sochi 2014” Olympic logo and engraved with “Si14” and the limited edition number (0000/2014). There is a helium escape valve located at 10 o'clock on the case.
"...a stunning tribute to the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games."
The Seamaster Planet Ocean 45.5 mm "Sochi 2014" Limited Edition is powered by the OMEGA Co-Axial calibre 8500. It is equipped with the brand's exclusive Si14 silicon balance spring and the result is a timepiece so reliable that OMEGA delivers it with a full four-year warranty. The watch is water resistant to 60 bar (600 metres / 2000 feet).
In 1932, when OMEGA presented the Marine – the world's first divers' watch – the product designers would have been pleased to know that more than eighty years later, the brand is still synonymous with underwater timepieces. And today, women are among the most avid Seamaster Planet Ocean fans. The OMEGA Seamaster Planet Ocean 37.5 mm "Sochi 2014" Limited Edition shares the same robust quality and the professional divers' features with the model in the gents' collection but it has some distinguishing highlights that will make it one of the most appealing souvenirs of the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games.

Inspired by the colours of the flag of the Russian Federation, the 37.5 mm stainless steel case has a white ceramic unidirectional rotating bezel with minutes 1 through 5 lacquered in blue and minutes 6 through 10 lacquered in red. The caseback is embossed with the “Sochi 2014” logo and engraved with “Si14” and the limited edition number (0000/2014). A helium escape valve is located at 10 o'clock on the case.
Inspired by a unique piece from the OMEGA Museum Collection, the OMEGA Sochi Petrograd commemorates the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games and the host country.
The "tonneau" shape of the polished 18K yellow gold case is one of the most fascinating design features of this timepiece and brings back a favoured style from an earlier era. The case is presented on a striking burgundy leather strap complete with an 18K yellow gold buckle. The caseback is engraved with the logo of the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games and the limited edition number – only 100 pieces of the Sochi Petrograd will be produced. The silvery-white dial incorporates the bold, red, white and blue colours of the Russian flag with its red 24-hour track on a polished minute track with central hour and minute hands fashioned from blued steel. The black sub-dial at the 6 o’clock position has a blued steel seconds hand and matches the black 12-hour track. The commemorative timepiece is powered by OMEGA's exclusive calibre 2202 with a Co-Axial escapement and special luxury finish.
