THE OMEGA OLYMPIC POCKET WATCH 1932 RATTRAPANTE CHRONOGRAPH

The OMEGA Olympic Pocket Watch 1932 Rattrapante Chronographs in 18K yellow, white or red gold are powered by rediscovered unassembled movement kits that had been in storage at OMEGA’s headquarters in Biel since 1932. These horological wonders bring one of the brand’s most storied products – the 1932 pocket chronograph – back to life.

THE OMEGA OLYMPIC POCKET WATCH 1932 RATTRAPANTE CHRONOGRAPH

A MASTERPIECE IS RESURRECTED

Several years ago, some unassembled chronograph movement kits were discovered in a hidden corner at OMEGA’s headquarters. Our master watchmakers reconditioned the components – which had been in storage for 80 years – and used them to create an enhanced replica of a 1932 pocket chronograph – the very stopwatch that had timed the Los Angeles 1932 Olympic Games.

A total of 300 of these COSC-certified chronometers were made, 100 each in 18K yellow, white and red gold, creatively symbolizing the gold, silver and bronzemedals whose winners had been determined by the watch’s iconic ancestors. The Olympic Pocket Watch 1932 Rattrapante Chronograph has a white enamel dial that recalls the original
along with updates, including the OMEGA calibre 3889A movement with an integrated rattrapante chronograph mechanism controlled by a double column wheel. On the caseback is the five-ring logo of the Olympic Games along with the engraved words “Official Timekeeper of the Olympic Games” and “Limited Edition” as well as the edition number of each model: (001/100).

THE OLYMPIC POCKET WATCH COLLECTION

The OMEGA Olympic Pocket Watch 1932 Rattraprante Chronograph was produced in three editions of 100 pieces: 18K yellow gold, 18K white gold and 18K red gold. The colours perfectly express the gold, silver and bronze medals awarded at the Olympic Games.
