OMEGA Swiss Golf Trophy Competition

Prestige watch manufcaturer OMEGA was delighted to co-organise a Swiss Golf Trophy competition with Chronométrie Scherbel, St Moritz. The event took place at the recently opened Engadin Golf Club, near the Swiss National Park in the picturesque Alpine region of Graubünden.

This popular event attracted numerous local personaliites. The standard of play was high and the competition intense, but in the end it was Mr Tobias Müller, an Engadin Golf Club member, who won the Brutto-Strokeplay competition, earning himself a weekend in Crans-Montana. Mr Jos Mattli, also an Engadin Golf Club member, won the Netto-Strokeplay competition and his prize was a day in Crans.

Mr Luciano Giovanoli, representing co-organiser Chronométrie Cherbel St. Moritz, was clearly delighted at the success of the event. "It was a great pleasure and an honour to co-organise this competition in the Engadin Valley. As an OMEGA retailer, the event provided us with an ideal opportunity to mix with customers and future customers. This tournament attracts talented golfers with excellent handicaps and our course here is a challenge – it was great to see such a high turnout!"

Indeed, participants and co-organisers were blessed with sunny weather during the tournament itself. It was only afterwards, during the apéritif, that the heavens opened! OMEGA looks forward to further successful Trophy competitions, organised in collaboration with its retailers, in 2004.
