Credit Suisse Gold Pro-Am

England's Simon Wakefield, the pro in the winning team of yesterday's Credit Suisse Gold Pro-Am obviously took full advantage of his 18 holes yesterday, returning to the club house with a respectable four under par thanks to four birdies on the back nine, leaving him only two shots off the lead. South African Martin Maritz shared the same course. He is also the latest lucky recipient of an Omega Double Eagle Trophy for scoring a double eagle (albatross) during the Barclays Scottish Open in July.

The Credit Suisse Pro-Am tournament is the prelude to the Omega European Masters that welcomes flights from the three event sponsors Omega, Credit Suisse and Volvo. As one of the amateurs in yesterday's Volvo flight proved, playing the course together with a pro can have a positive effect on your game. Aurelio Landolt (HCP 5.7) from Switzerland's Golf Club Ybrig, achieved the once-in-a-lifetime feat of scoring a double eagle (albatross) on the first hole.
