Swiss Skier Michela Figini, former Olympic champion, visits Torino 2006 Olympic Winter Games as guest of Official Timekeeper


Turin, Italy, February 15, 2006 — Michela Figini, the Swiss skier who won an Olympic Gold medal in the Women’s Downhill event at the 1984 Olympic Winter Games in Sarajevo and a Silver medal in the Super Giant Slalom Women four years later at the  Calgary 1988 Olympic Winter Games, was today a guest of OMEGA, the Official Timekeeper of the Torino 2006 Olympic Winter Games.  <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Ms. Figini accompanied a group of OMEGA guests from overseas to the Women’s Downhill event held today in San Sicario, near Turin. She later visited the OMEGA Olympic Games Exhibition and the OMEGA Boutique in the Galleria San Federico in downtown Turin, and stayed to chat with members of the public gathered at the OMEGA bobsleigh.

Later that evening Ms. Figini spent several hours at the OMEGA Lounge visiting with women from the city of Turin and the local Piemonte region who are active in business as CEOs and entrepreneurs.
