<?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Turin, February 18, 2006. Record-setting yachtswoman Ellen MacArthur sailed into town Friday for a whirlwind tour of the city playing host to the Torino 2006 Olympic Winter Games. Ms. MacArthur sailed by herself around the world in 2005—and broke the single-handed non-stop round-the-world sailing record in the process, with an amazing time of 71 days, 14 hours, 18 minutes and 33 seconds. She accomplished this extraordinary feat on a 75-foot trimaran designed and built expressly for the purpose of setting solo speed sailing records. Ms. MacArthur is an OMEGA Ambassador, and was welcomed by OMEGA President Stephen Urquhart, who introduced her to members of the Official Timekeeper team and gave her a  guided tour of the Olympic Games Exhibition in the OMEGA Pavilion. Following a photo and autograph session with members of the public at the OMEGA bobsleigh, Ms. MacArthur met with members of the OMEGA Gold Card program in the hospitality lounge. The OMEGA Lounge is located on two floors of the former CINEMA LUX in Turin’s famed Galleria San Federico. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
