OMEGA Official Timekeeper of Dubai Ladies Masters 2008

Omega, the prestigious Swiss watchmaker, is proud to announce its renewed partnership with the Emirates Golf Club as Official Timekeeper and co-sponsor of the Dubai Ladies Masters – the only Ladies European Tour tournament in the Middle East - which was held in Dubai from December 8 to 14, 2008.

This was the third consecutive year the Swiss watchmaker has supported the event, confirming its genuine commitment to the sport in the region.

"Omega has long been associated with the royal and ancient game of golf, and as ladies’ golf is growing tremendously, we are proud to contribute to and associate ourselves with this development, especially within the booming city of Dubai," said Omega Vice - President, Mr. Raynald Aeschlimann.

Long noted for its close association with international sporting events, Omega has, in past years, been significantly involved in international golf, including its title sponsorship of the Omega Mission Hills World Cup, the oldest and most prestigious global golf team event in the world. For over a decade, the Omega European Masters in Crans-Montana, Switzerland has attracted the finest of professional golfers as well. Omega is also the title sponsor of the China Tour and the Official Timekeeper at the Dubai Desert Classic.

"Golf and luxury watchmaking have a lot in common, as both demand high precision, extreme dedication and a commitment to constantly raise performance benchmarks," added Mr. Aeschlimann.

Omega was proud to present Germany’s Anja Monke the winner of the Dubai Ladies Masters 2008 with Omega new stunning diamond-studded full Gold with Champagne dial 160 years Constellation watch in presence of Mrs. Nayla Hayek – Member of Board of Directors Swatch Group.

The iconic Constellation series is one of the world's most popular and recognisable ranges of wristwatches. Supermodel and OMEGA brand ambassador Cindy Crawford made design contributions to the line and famously made the Constellation “her choice” more than a decade ago.

The new Constellation line is designed to commemorate Omega's 160th anniversary. Since its founding in 1848, Omega has been synonymous with precise time measurement. During these 160 years the brand has been part of manned space flight for forty years, and the Speedmaster is the only watch ever to have been worn on the Moon. Also recognized for its role in advancing sports timekeeping technology, Omega has been the Official Timekeeper at 23 Olympic Games, most recently in Beijing.

The Omega Constellation 160 Years line is a perfect tribute to the company's 160-year tradition of luxurious timekeeping. It reflects Omega's extraordinary legacy and points to its leadership in defining the future of fine watchmaking. The Constellation 160 Years is a stunning new diamond-studded collection available in three sizes: two Ladies’ models of 25.5 mm and 22.5 mm, and a Gents’ model. Each of them is a brilliant expression of the Constellation philosophy of refined design, fine materials and exquisite craftsmanship.

The Ladies' watches come in bi-colour versions (stainless steel and gold) or in stainless steel. Their brushed cases have the characteristic Constellation claws in 18-carat red or yellow gold. The caseback is engraved "160 Years" and features the famous Observatory medallion. The bezels, depending on the size of the watch, are paved with 38 or 30 diamonds. The dials, in white mother-of-pearl or in champagne, carry 12 dazzling diamond hour markers. The watches are powered by the Omega calibre 1456, a precision quartz movement with a battery life of 32 months.
