Celebrated by Unveiling of the Official Omega Countdown Clock at the Embassy of Canada in Washington DC
The official countdown clock has hit 100 days. In celebration of the 100-day countdown to the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, Omega in partnership with the Embassy of Canada in Washington, DC, and the Canadian Tourism Commission (CTC), unveiled the Official OMEGA Countdown Clock in front of the Canadian Embassy today.
As the official timekeepers of the Olympics, Omega joined Canadian Ambassador Gary Doer in unveiling a countdown clock on Pennsylvania Avenue. The official Vancouver 2010 Olympic mascots made an appearance while Fefe Dobson, Canada’s own pop rock sensation, made a live appearance and performed several songs.
As we hit the 100-day countdown to the Opening Ceremony on Feb. 12, 2010, OMEGA’s professionals are actively involved in preparations for the competition where, for the 24th time, the Swiss specialists will serve as Official Timekeepers at the Olympic Games. On the March 12, they will play the same role at the Paralympic Games.
