Every month, two influential women are featured. For the first show of July, OMEGA and CNN introduce Ester Levanon, Director of the Tel Aviv stock exchange.
Ms. Levanon is Director of the Tel Aviv stock exchange, Israel’s only public market place. Ms. Levanon was instrumental in its technological transition to a fully computerized stock exchange in 1999.
She also supervised the stock exchange during its strongest periods of growth and the affluence of foreign investments.
Ms. Levanon joined the stock exchange in Tel Aviv in 1986 as head of Services after having managed the computer division of the internal security Service Shin Bet Israelis for 12 years.
Ms. Levanon is an Israeli economic life co-creator and is recognized for her extensive knowledge of the market. She holds a higher mathematical sciences (MSc) degree from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a Harvard Business School's advanced management program. She also has a Ph.d. from the University of Technology of Israel.
