The OMEGA Boutique in downtown Vancouver, Canada, celebrated an evening of London Olympic Games fever on Thursday July 19th featuring current and former Canadian Olympic athletes, with VIP guests and media.
2010 Vancouver Ski-Cross Gold Medalist Ashleigh McIvor, 2008 Beijing Gold Medal Rower Jacob Wetzel and 2008 Beijing/2006 Athens Track and Field Star Gary Reed mingled and posed for photographs with guests.
Local English and Asian media/personalities, celebrity guests, and VIP customers from the boutique were also treated to British culinary delights & cocktails and music from popular local DJ Leanne.
The 2012 Olympic Games in London will have special significance for OMEGA. Not only is the brand assuming its Official Timekeeper responsibilities for the 25th time, it is also celebrating 80 years since it first served as Official Timekeeper at the Los Angeles 1932 Olympic Games. And in 1948, the last time the Games were contested in London, OMEGA was on hand to help usher in the birth of modern sports timekeeping.
