OMEGA opens boutique in Frankfurt’s city centre

In a lavish celebration, OMEGA hosted a party to open its new boutique in the heart of Frankfurt on 31st October. Entering on a red carpet, guests of the Swiss luxury watch brand passed impressive ice sculptures. Once inside the boutique they were welcomed by hostesses dressed in watchmaker’s coats who offered them a glass of Bollinger champagne —James Bond’s favourite sparkling wine of choice.

Special guest Natalia Wörner attracted a lot of attention in her stunning leather dress. The popular German actress cut the symbolic ribbon with OMEGA’s Vice President & International Sales Director Raynald Aeschlimann.

Following the ribbon cutting, Mr Aeschlimann said to the guests: “We are thrilled that you are able to join us at our newest boutique – our fourth in Germany – at this incredible location. All of us at OMEGA are proud to be opening a boutique that is worthy of this world-class city. And it gives me particular pleasure to be able to able to open it with Natalia Wörner.”

Afterwards visitors had time to explore the store and take a closer look at the exquisite timepieces. The 135 square meter boutique stretches over two floors and offers watches from all the brand’s collections: Speedmaster, Seamaster, De Ville and Constellation.

Also on offer are OMEGA’s Fine Leather Collection and its fragrance — products that are exclusive to the OMEGA boutiques – as well as the eye-catching Fine Jewellery lines.

The Frankfurt store, consistent with OMEGA’s global boutique design concept, has been conceived around the themes of sun, water, earth and time. Brilliant lighting illuminating the products in the show window represents the sun’s energetic light rays. A stroke pattern above the displays casts shadows and reflects light — a perfect depiction of clouds, which gather water and generate rain.  Vertical tracks express rainfall.  The rain symbolizes time which is never still and never returns in exactly the same form. Below the displays, chiselled and silvered glass represents an exposed cross section of the earth, which conveys a history of time. Furthermore, watch aficionados will find an overview over the brand, competent service and professional advice from the boutique team as well as an experienced watchmaker. Like all OMEGA boutiques worldwide the Frankfurt store will be a centre for information and for a permanent exchange about the brand and its 165 year tradition.

In the course of the evening a DJ set the groove and the Swiss-inspired flying buffet from Frankfurter Hof was a hit with everyone. The guests, who included famous faces from business and politics, enjoyed stimulating conversation before finishing the evening in a relaxed atmosphere. There’s no doubt, though, that the secret star of the evening was the boutique itself. With its tasteful design, the refined displays and the dedicated team, it enchanted all the guests.
