Second round ace propels Sergio Garcia to Thailand Golf Championship victory

In his most impressive tournament performance of the year, Spain’s Sergio Garcia won the Thailand Golf Championship by four strokes.

With a 72-hole total of 22 under par – including a hole-in-one on the 236 yard 8th hole in the second round – the long-time OMEGA brand ambassador demonstrated throughout the tournament that he still possesses all the skills that have made him such a popular player. He was consistently in top form throughout the event with scores of 68-65-65-68.

Sergio Garcia’s nearest challenger on the course was Henrik Stenson of Sweden, the world’s third-ranked golfer, who with a final tally of 18 under par, finished four strokes off the winning mark. The two leaders left the rest of the field far behind.

OMEGA congratulates Sergio on his brilliant play – a clear indication that 2014 should be a very exciting year!
