Harris English and Matt Kuchar win the Franklin Templeton Shootout in Florida


At the 25th edition of the Franklin Templeton Shootout, hosted by World Golf Hall of Fame member Greg Norman, one of the Australian legend’s fellow OMEGA brand ambassadors, Harris English, topped the leaderboard along with partner Matt Kuchar with rounds of 64, 60 and 58. The three-round total of 162 equaled the tournament record.

English and Kuchar were tied for the lead at the end of the first round (modified alternate shot) and in the second round (better ball), they had a staggering score of 60, taking them to a two-round total of 20 under, four strokes clear of  the field. Their on-course magic continued on Sunday in the final round (scramble). The American golf stars combined for a score of 14 under par for the third round, taking them to an incredible three-round total of 34 under par, 7 strokes ahead of second place finishers, Retief Goosen and Freddie Jacobson.


The Shootout is a one-of-a-kind competition and features 24 of the world’s top professional golfers playing on two-man teams. It has become one of the most prestigious and unique events on the PGA tour since in it was first contested in 1989.
