OMEGA invites Baselworld guests to explore the technology behind its ceramic innovations.
On 21 March, OMEGA will share with watch aficionados from around the world the process and details behind the creation of its renowned ceramic Speedmaster models.
Located in front of the reception area of the OMEGA booth in Hall 1.0, the exhibition has two entrances that lead to an alluring experience. Inside the dark exhibition is a large model of the Moon that is surrounded by the various ceramic Speedmaster timepieces – the Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon collection, the Speedmaster Grey Side of the Moon and the Speedmaster White Side of the Moon. Flashing lights projected on the Moon model and the timepieces highlight their details while mysterious music plays on the speakers surrounding the display.
On one wall, visitors can watch a video that shows the advanced processes used to craft the popular ceramic wristwatches. Below the screen are several ceramic Speedmaster casebodies that illustrate the steps of the watches’ transformations.
The exhibition will be open to Baselworld guests until 6 p.m. on 21 March.
