Golf and glamour were the order of the day on November the 2nd, when OMEGA ambassador and America's number one female golfer Stacy Lewis, attended a special VIP event at the Narita Golf Club, followed by a visit to the OMEGA boutique in Ginza.
Stacy Lewis, who joined OMEGA's impressive list of golfing ambassadors in 2013, was thrilled to attend the event, saying “I come to Japan every year and it’s one of my favorite countries.”
During her speech, Lewis spoke openly about the challenges she faced as a child, being diagnosed with scoliosis when she was 11 years old, and how she overcame the condition to become who she is today. “I had suffered from scoliosis not only physically but also more so mentally. Having said that, that hardship has given me the fighting spirit as a golfer”
VIP guests enjoyed a special golf clinic, where Lewis discussed her play styles and techniques and demonstrated short and long shots.
After the event, Stacy moved on to Tokyo, to visit the OMEGA boutique in Ginza.
When asked about the Rio Olympics during a media interview session, she replied “I would definitely like to get the gold medal as a member of the US national team.”
Stacy will take part in the TOTO Japan Classic being held in Kashikojima Island in Mie prefecture, Japan, from 6th to 8th November.
