On course for another successful day: the fourth round of the 2003 OMEGA Swiss Golf Trophies.

The prestigious Golf Club Interlaken Unterseen was the chosen venue for the fourth round of the 2003 OMEGA Swiss Golf Trophies. The match, co-organised by OMEGA and Kirchhofer Bijouteries in Interlaken, Grindelwald and Meiringen attracted an impressive turnout of 117 participants. The OMEGA Swiss Golf Trophies reflects OMEGA's commitment to golf at local as well as at international level. This was the fourth round in a series of twelve: the winners of every match will play against each other in the Grand Final in Crans-Montana, organised so as to coincide with the OMEGA European Masters which takes place in the same resort from 4-7 September.

The Golf Club Interlaken Unterseen is situated in the heart of the Bern Oberland, on the edge of Thunersee: a stunning venue and ideal for hosting an event of this nature. Players – including ex CEO of Migros, Switzerland, Jules Kyburz, Jack Barrett, the top knee surgeon in the US, and Walter Balmer, ex FC Basel player – enjoyed beautiful playing conditions with blue skies and breezy warmth.

Jürg Kirchhofer, owner of the Kirchhofer Bijouteries in Interlaken, Grindelwald and Meiringen, was delighted. "This has been a truly successful event. Demand for taking part this year was so high that we even had to resort to waiting lists. I think that the first prize - playing at the Grand Final in Crans-Montana – was definitely the incentive that prompted so many to apply".
