OMEGA European Masters 2003 – Preview

The current world number two, OMEGA ambassador Ernie Els, once again returns to Crans-Montana for the OMEGA European Masters from 4-7 September. Still chasing an elusive victory in Crans, the impressive form of the top player in Europe so far this year clearly places him among the favourites. Competition will be fierce, however, as the organisers have once again excelled in securing top names from the world's elite to vie for the OMEGA red jacket. Two big names to watch will undoubtedly be the young Spaniard Sergio Garcia and the experienced Scotsman Colin Montgomerie, both of whom will be looking to shine at this first qualifying event for the Ryder Cup 2004. Spectators will also be able to see OMEGA's Chinese golfing ambassador, Zhang Lian Wei (winner of the Caltex Singapore Masters in 2003, beating Ernie Els) in action on the Severiano Ballesteros course for the first time.
