Born in Los Angeles, Collin Morikawa became the world’s number one amateur golfer in 2018 while attending the University of California, Berkeley, and graduating in 2019 from the Haas School of Business. Turning pro that same year, he quickly began to make a name for himself with several high-placed finishes and a win at the Barracuda Championship in only his 6th professional start.
In incredible scenes, Collin Morikawa then won the PGA Championship in 2020. This was only his second major appearance, and by claiming the famed Wanamaker Trophy at the first time of trying, he became the third youngest player in history to win the tournament, and only the fourth champion before the age of 24.
Collin joined OMEGA in 2020, just before his major win. The PGA Championship moment was a perfect way for the partnership to begin, and a true celebration between brand and player.
