Surrounded by the colour and culture of Rio, OMEGA assumed its role as the Official Timekeeper of the Olympic Games. In every event, we were the name behind the clock, recording the dreams of the athletes who competed for victory.
With a global reputation for excellence, OMEGA is behind the timekeeping equipment and technology that today’s athletes depend on. Some of the greatest developments have been seen on the track and in the pool.
OMEGA has partnered with some of the most inspiring and successful Olympic Games athletes in the world. Their drive for precision and excellence mirrors our own spirit and we are proud to have them in our illustrious family of brand ambassadors.
In 1932, one OMEGA watchmaker arrived at the Olympic Games in Los Angeles with 30 split-second chronographs. Today, a team of 480 timekeepers is supported by 450 tons of equipment. And the goal remains the same: deliver flawless timing to the world’s best athletes.
Situated on Ipanema Beach, OMEGA HOUSE was our exclusive members-only club during the Olympic Games. With many events and special guests, it was the perfect location to celebrate in style.
To count down one year to the Olympic Games, these 12 community projects were OMEGA’s way of leaving a lasting legacy in Rio and giving something back to the young people of the host city.
