A sublime expression of the art of watchmaking, each OMEGA De Ville Tourbillon is a unique, hand-crafted timepiece that blends stunning beauty with ground-breaking innovation. These timepieces feature OMEGA’s exclusive Central Tourbillon movement, set in a tourbillon cage protecting it from the effects of gravity. Just three pieces of this timepiece will be produced.
Its scratch-resistant sapphire crystal dial offers a captivating view into the working mechanics within the timepiece. The 18K red gold seconds hand is fixed directly on the titanium tourbillon cage. The 38.7 mm 950 platinum case is fully paved with 170 baguette diamonds and the movement is adorned with 289 single-cut diamonds. The timepiece is presented on a grey leather strap with platinum stitching. Powering this watchmaking wonder is the Co-Axial calibre 2637 which has a 950 platinum oscillating weight. The watchmaker's initials are engraved on the back of the tourbillon's main plate.
An ingenious principle which solves the tricky problem of adjusting mechanical watches. All the components of the escapement (escape wheel, pallets wheel, pallets fork and balance spring) are grouped together in a small mobile cage which makes one rotation per minute. This eradicates any differences in rate due to different positions of the watch and thus guarantees optimal precision for a mechanical watch.

Platinum stands out in the luxury world for its rarity, enduring silvery whiteness and brilliant shine. It is also highly unreactive and has a remarkable resistance to corrosion. The rarity of the material is often associated with exclusivity and wealth, which is why OMEGA uses 950 platinum for exceptional models of prestige. These watches offer wearers a distinctive look and a unique feel unlike any other metal.

Diamonds
Diamond is recognised as the hardest material on Earth, graded 10 on the Mohs hardness scale, and is the only gem made entirely of carbon. In nature, it can only be formed under high temperature and pressure conditions that exist within a specific depth range (~100 miles) beneath the Earth's surface. To decorate its timepieces and jewellery, OMEGA uses "Top Wesselton" white COLOUR diamonds with CLARITY ranging from pure to VVS (Very Very Small inclusions). Along with choosing the best weight in CARAT, the CUT is also carefully selected in order to maximise brightness and scintillation. It goes without saying that OMEGA is a certified member of the non-profit Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC), assuring customers that its processes involving people, materials and the environment are ethical and fair.

Sapphire Crystal
To really appreciate the finer details of a timepiece, OMEGA uses synthetic sapphire crystal with a highly scratch-resistant and anti-reflective treatment. Before the machining and finishing processes take place, the sapphire crystals are produced under the Verneuil process, also called flame fusion. It involves the melting of the raw substance using oxyhydrogen flame and the crystallisation of the melted droplets to form a cylinder. Graded 9 on the Mohs-hardness scale (graded 1-10), the resulting sapphire crystals are virtually scratch-proof and very hard, ensuring an unhindered vision at all times.
