The year 1969 was a turning point for the history of the OMEGA Speedmaster. Not only did the timepiece become the first watch worn on the moon, but the collection introduced a new model known as the Mark II. With its distinctive streamlined case, it has since become of of the world’s most loved vintage chronograph designs. <p> Today, the collection continues with a selection of wristwatches in stainless steel, all presented on metal bracelets with unique details of their own. On each model, including the Rio 2016 Limited Edition model created in tribute to the Olympic Games, the transparent tachymeter scale is beautifully illuminated from beneath by an aluminium ring filled with Super‑LumiNova, while the watches feature black or grey dials protected by a scratch‑resistant sapphire crystal. <p> Inside, the luxury Swiss watches are driven by self‑winding Co‑Axial movements with chronometer certification.
