Black ceramic on rubber strap
Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M Co‑axial Master Chronometer GMT 45.5 mm
Black ceramic on rubber strap
Exploring the dark side of the ocean, OMEGA has evolved its ceramic expertise to produce the Seamaster Planet Ocean “Deep Black”. This remarkable 45.5 mm timepiece is the combination of a GMT model and a diving watch. The addition of blue represents the last colour you'll see in the ocean at a depth of approximately 275 m.
The matt casebody has been crafted from a single block of ceramic, and for the first time, rubber has been blended with ceramic to create a unique unidirectional bezel. This colourful innovation can be seen covering the first 15 minutes, while Liquidmetal™ completes the rest of the diving scale. Blue rubber injections have also been used to colour the OMEGA logo on the crown and helium escape valve symbol.
On the black ceramic dial, a GMT ring has been added, as well as blue Arabic numerals, and brushed hands and indexes that are crafted from 18K white gold with a white Super-LumiNova coating. In another first, OMEGA has created an oriented caseback so that the engraved wording sits pleasingly in position. This has been achieved through OMEGA’s new and patented ceramic Naiad Lock.
Other features include an alveol pattern on the screw-in caseback and a black rubber strap with blue stitching and an anti-bacterial treatment. The Planet Ocean “Deep Black” is water-resistant to 60 bar and is driven by the OMEGA Master Chronometer calibre 8906. To achieve Master Chronometer status, it has passed the 8 rigorous tests set by METAS (The Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology).
All OMEGA watches are delivered with a 5-year warranty that covers the repair of any material or manufacturing defects. Please refer to the operating instructions for specific information about the warranty conditions and restrictions.
24 hours GMT
The movement is unaffected by exposure to strong magnetic fields, even those greater than 1.5 tesla (15,000 gauss).
Label given to a watch which has undergone precision tests and received a certificate from an official body (COSC).
The day of the month, displayed in a window on a watch dial typically at the 3 o'clock or 6 o'clock position.
Helium escape valve
Decompression system which allows helium to escape from inside the watch when the watch is worn for professional use in pressure chambers. (Long-term underwater work, crude oil exploration, etc.)
Master Chronometer Certified
Self-locking crown, screwed into the tube of the case, used for highly water resistant divers' watches.
Transparent case back
Unidirectional rotating bezel
A bezel which turns in only one direction. Particularly useful for divers who cannot accidentally rotate it in the wrong direction, which could cause them to miscalculate their dive times. A rotating bezel makes it easy to measure elapsed time.
Inside this timepiece are the revolutionary components that guarantee the highest standards of performance. From the Co-Axial escapement for long-lasting precision, to the silicon balance spring for superior anti-magnetism, OMEGA has conquered every challenge that matters.
Your watch and strap should go together perfectly, but that doesn't mean you can't experiment with different combinations. Why not mix things up and see what happens? You may discover a look that's as individual as you are.
Self-winding movement with Co-Axial escapement. Certified Master Chronometer, approved by METAS, resistant to magnetic fields reaching 15,000 gauss. GMT and time zone functions. Free sprung-balance with silicon balance spring, two barrels mounted in series, automatic winding in both directions. Special luxury finish with rhodium-plated rotor and bridges with Geneva waves in arabesque.
