Titanium on Titanium
91 900,00 KR
Reliable even at 4000 feet beneath the waves, the famous Ploprof has a long history as one of OMEGA's most trusted divers' watches.
While retaining the original sturdy and bold appearance, this new edition has been updated with OMEGA's Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8912, featuring revolutionary technology renowned for its anti-magnetic resistance, chronometric performance, and precision.
The unique case is emblazoned with an electric blue ceramic bezel ring, with the numerals, triangle and scale, all filled with Super-LumiNova for increased visibility. Grade 5 titanium has been used as the case and clasp material for lightweight comfort, while the lacquered white dial is complemented by orange aluminum and varnished blue hands.
The radiant style of this watch clearly recalls the captivating colours of the ocean, and the polished grade 2 titanium "sharkproof" mesh bracelet further adds to the sense of exploration and adventure. The watch is delivered in a special presentation box along with an additional electric blue rubber strap.
The movement is unaffected by exposure to strong magnetic fields, even those greater than 1.5 tesla (15,000 gauss).
Bi-directional rotating bezel
A bezel which can be turned clockwise or anti-clockwise. Rotating bezels can be used to time events, measure elapsed times, or read second or third time zones.
Label given to a watch which has undergone precision tests and received a certificate from an official body (COSC).
Helium escape valve
Decompression system which allows helium to escape from inside the watch when the watch is worn for professional use in pressure chambers. (Long-term underwater work, crude oil exploration, etc.)
Master Chronometer Certified
Guaranteeing the Swiss industry’s highest standard of precision, performance and magnetic-resistance, as set by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS).
Self-locking crown, screwed into the tube of the case, used for highly water resistant divers' watches.
Time zone function
Allows the hour hand to be easily adjusted to different time zones without stopping the watch.
Transparent case back
A transparent case back - frequently made of sapphire - makes it possible to see the movement inside the watch.
OMEGA is proud to include the Swiss Made mark on all of its watches. This simple wording guarantees a standard of quality that has been established over many centuries and is today a world-renowned symbol of excellence. Every part of an OMEGA watch is made in Switzerland, which goes far beyond the industry’s required standard. This means that the manufacturing levels as well as the aesthetic and technical levels meet Switzerland’s highest demands. On top of OMEGA’s own proven excellence, the Swiss Made mark provides customers with even more assurance and trust in the watch they wear on their wrist.
All OMEGA watches are delivered with a 5-year warranty that covers the repair of any material or manufacturing defects. Please refer to the operating instructions for specific information about the warranty conditions and restrictions.

Titanium alloys are light, corrosion-resistant, biochemically inert and able to withstand extreme temperatures. These properties make them particularly appropriate for products in the aircraft, spacecraft and medical sectors. They achieve the perfect balance between solidity, corrosion-resistance and workability. Grade 2 titanium offers a dim grey colour and suits mostly "brushed" finished pieces. It has featured in a number of OMEGA timepieces used for sport and space exploration, where light reflections should be avoided.

These properties make them particularly appropriate for products in the aircraft, spacecraft and medical sectors. Grade 5 titanium offers a bright grey colour that is close to that of stainless steel, and suits both "brushed" and "polished" finishing.

OMEGA has unrivalled expertise in the use of ceramics, dating back more than 10 years. Taking its origin from the Greek word "keramos", ceramic is an inorganic, non-metallic substance obtained by firing at high temperatures. It allows the creation of completely dense watch parts with exceptional mechanical properties. Ceramic is one of the most popular choices for customers when selecting their timepiece, thanks to its appealing colour range and specific properties, such as it being two times lighter than stainless steel, hardwearing, highly scratch-resistant, chemically inert, hypoallergenic, environmentally friendly and non-magnetic.

To really appreciate the finer details of a timepiece, OMEGA uses synthetic sapphire crystal with a highly scratch-resistant and anti-reflective treatment. Before the machining and finishing processes take place, the sapphire crystals are produced under the Verneuil process, also called flame fusion. It involves the melting of the raw substance using oxyhydrogen flame and the crystallisation of the melted droplets to form a cylinder. Graded 9 on the Mohs-hardness scale (graded 1-10), the resulting sapphire crystals are virtually scratch-proof and very hard, ensuring an unhindered vision at all times.

Master Chronometer Certified
Twice as precise as any officially certified chronometer
Our Master Chronometer watches are tested and certified twice. Firstly, the movement is tested by the Official Swiss Chronometer Control (COSC) with precision criteria of 0/+5 seconds per day. Then the complete watch and its movement undergo eight Master Chronometer tests set by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS) with criteria of %3/%4 seconds per day.

Master Chronometer Certified
Proprietary anti-magnetic materials
Everyday items such as mobile phones, metal clasps on handbags, laptops, MRI, induction hobs or automatic doors; subject a watch to magnetic fields and can affect its performance for good. To prevent the risk of permanent deviations of up to several minutes a day we've conceived movements with antimagnetic materials, such as the silicon balance spring, capable of withstanding the highest fields.

Master Chronometer Certified
To ensure the integrity of our timepieces at depth, not just some but all watches are fully immersed in water and pressure is applied up to the point of the guaranteed water resistance. By submerging each watch in water we have chosen – yet again - to exceed normal testing standards.

Our watches are engineered to the highest standards and certified as such. Each watch destined to become a Master Chronometer must first pass 8 stringent tests. The examinations we perform for precision, magnetic-resistance, power reserve and water-resistance allow us to cover the certified watches with a comprehensive 5-year warranty.

Extended service intervals
Each Master Chronometer is equipped with a Co-Axial escapement, conceived to reduce the mechanical constraints inside the movement. This significantly reduces the need for lubrication and hence the need for servicing. All mechanical movements need to be serviced periodically, but an OMEGA Master Chronometer offers more time between servicing than many other watches.

During the homologation process, OMEGA watches are tested to the extreme. This phase includes shock examinations, to confirm the reliability of each timepiece, and to check that its precision is maintained after a severe impact. All OMEGA timepieces are designed to withstand shocks corresponding to a 1-metre drop on a hard wooden floor. For a standard 150g timepiece, this sudden and rapid acceleration is an equivalent force of up to 5,000 G on the watch head.
Self-winding movement with Co-Axial escapement. Certified Master Chronometer, approved by METAS, resistant to magnetic fields reaching 15,000 gauss. Free-sprung balance with silicon balance spring, two barrels mounted in series, automatic winding in both directions. Time zone function. Special luxury finish with Geneva waves in arabesque.
