To celebrate the start of the OMEGA Masters in 2019, OMEGA held a sporting celebration in the peaks of Crans-Montana. The evening began with a musical performance from Swiss rock star Bastian Baker, before OMEGA’s long-time friends Rory McIlroy, Sergio Garcia and Tommy Fleetwood were welcomed to the stage. The three OMEGA golfers weren’t the only special guests in the spotlight. Joining them for the event were Justin Timberlake, Niall Horan, Dennis Quaid, Anthony Mackie and Michael Pena.
Speaking at OMEGA’s evening event, Raynald Aeschlimann, President and CEO of OMEGA, said, “It’s a true honour to be joined by Rory, Sergio and Tommy this year. We’re so excited about seeing them play in the OMEGA Masters, and it’s especially fantastic to have our celebrity friends here with us too. This tournament gets more exciting every year.”
Earlier in the day, the three professional players and all of the celebrities joined forces to compete in the pro-am. While they all showed their flair with a golf club, OMEGA was proud to later present the OMEGA Celebrity Masters trophy to the celebrity who achieved the best individual score.
The OMEGA Masters is renowned for its heritage, famed winners and majestic mountain scenery. OMEGA has been the title sponsor since 2001 and is fulfilling the role in 2019 for the 19th time.
While golf was in focus for the night, OMEGA was also proud to launch its brand new Seamaster Aqua Terra “Ultra Light”. Designed with athletes in mind, the new sports watch is built from Gamma Titanium, and includes many innovative features. Rory, Tommy and Sergio have all picked their own colour and tried the timepiece on the golf course.
