Planet Ocean 600 M Omega Co-Axial Master CHRONOMETER 39.5 mm

Sedna gold on leather strap with rubber lining

215.63.40.20.13.001

Description

It was with OMEGA’s maritime legacy in mind that the brand launched its Planet Ocean line in 2005. Today, the stylish OMEGA Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M Master Chronometer pays homage to OMEGA’s dive watch heritage.

This model, with its scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, features a chocolate brown ceramic dial with Arabic numerals and a date window at the 3 o’clock position. The brown ceramic unidirectional bezel with OMEGA Ceragold™ diving scale is mounted on a 39.5 mm 18K Sedna™ gold case.

Other features include an alveol screw-in caseback and a brown leather strap with rubber lining.

The OMEGA Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M Master Chronometer is water resistant to 600 metres / 2000 feet / 60 bar, and has a helium-escape valve. The OMEGA Master Chronometer calibre 8801 at the heart of this timepiece can be seen through the transparent caseback. To achieve Master Chronometer status, it has passed the 8 rigorous tests set by METAS (The Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology).

Features

Anti-magnetic

Anti-magnetic

The movement is unaffected by exposure to strong magnetic fields, even those greater than 1.5 tesla (15,000 gauss).

Ceragold

Ceragold

Ceragold is the result of a process that allows the incrustation of 18K gold into a ceramic bezel. The bezels made of ceramic and the Ceragold are perfectly smooth to the touch.

Chronometer

Chronometer

Label given to a watch which has undergone precision tests and received a certificate from an official body (COSC).

Date

Date

The day of the month, displayed in a window on a watch dial typically at the 3 o'clock or 6 o'clock position.

Helium escape valve

Helium escape valve

Decompression system which allows helium to escape from inside the watch when the watch is worn for professional use in pressure chambers. (Long-term underwater work, crude oil exploration, etc.)

Screw-in crown

Screw-in crown

Self-locking crown, screwed into the tube of the case, used for highly water resistant divers' watches.

Transparent case back

Transparent case back

A transparent case back - frequently made of sapphire - makes it possible to see the movement inside the watch.

Unidirectional rotating bezel

Unidirectional rotating bezel

A bezel which turns in only one direction. Particularly useful for divers who cannot accidentally rotate it in the wrong direction, which could cause them to miscalculate their dive times. A rotating bezel makes it easy to measure elapsed time.
